Food brings families, friends, and love ones together. African Americans call it Soul Food. With such a vast history of cultural exchanges, it's time to look to Asia with it's similar food groups and start to incorporate various styles and techniques to bring about an Afro Asian style that is unique and rich.
Africa and Asia share similar foods. (i.e., potatoes, yams, greens, meats, etc.) The Afro Asian Connection will bring you recipes from Africa, Brazil, Texas, Louisiana, New Orleans, Thailand, Japan, Korea, and China. If you have some special recipes you want to share, please e-mail us.
African Americans as a whole have not yet been able to capitalize fully on the tremendous opportunity that is available in the food industry. With the alignment with Asia, and its huge food industry, we can share and learn how to capitalize on this industry.
We look forward to the exchange of ideas, recipes and comments.
